What is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of energy healing. The word Reiki comes from the Kanji (chinese characters) rei, meaning spiritual, and ki, meaning energy.

Reiki practitioners place their hands over your body or use very gentle, non-intrusive touch to guide spiritual energy, promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and facilitating healing by balancing the body’s energy systems.

Reiki is a safe and gentle complementary therapy that stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, aiding in the healing of both body and mind.

This part of your nervous system is responsible for slowing down your heart rate and relaxing your muscles.

As a level 2 Reiki practitioner based in Colchester, I can perform Reiki sessions on their own, or as a complementary therapy along side life coaching

I was at a big career crossroads in my life when I went to see Jacqui. She helped me navigate through a lot of the limiting beliefs and arbitrary rules I had created for myself whilst embarking on my early career as a recent graduate. She's very much future-focused and doesn't dwell too much on the past, which was exactly what I needed. Highly recommend her for anyone lacking clear direction like I was.

During my own wellness journey, after my diagnosis with Leukaemia, I regularly see a Reiki Healer.

Reiki can offer many benefits:

Many clients come to me for Reiki because they feel they are out of balance or need a shift in their emotions, so I wanted to offer something that may help them along with coaching.

I decided to train as a Reiki Healer to give my clients an additional option to help them relax and release blocked energy. My decision to choose Reiki, as opposed to other alternative therapies, is because the NHS recognises Reiki.

As a Holistic Life Coach, I create a caring, relaxed environment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a confidential setting.  My approach is holistic, which means wholeness, so we will be working on an emotional level by helping you find coping strategies to move forward and looking at the effects your feelings have on your mind and body.  I aim for you to get to your place of happiness again, where you can move forward and feel you have control over your thoughts, emotions, and everyday life.

Our work together is confidential, and I treat each of my clients as an individual with their own story and life ambitions, so each session will be individually tailor-made to meet your needs.
